Founded by Queen Ronke Ademiluyi-Ogunwusi, Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN) is the sister event to Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL), and one of Africa’s most celebrated fashion platforms, dedicated to showcasing and nurturing African-inspired design talent.
Since 2014, Africa Fashion Week Nigeria has stood as a powerful springboard for emerging African designers, connecting them to the global fashion industry and providing a prestigious stage for the rich and diverse cultures of Africa. Through our platform, AFWN has empowered over 3,000 designers, launching them into the fashion world and introducing their talents to international audiences.
AFWN is not only a celebration of African heritage and style but also a movement for social change and sustainable fashion. We believe in the power of fashion as an instrument for growth, empowerment, and social impact. Our commitment extends beyond the runway; we work to create jobs, foster education, and provide skills training within the fashion industry. As a social enterprise, AFWN is dedicated to promoting Nigerian and African brands through global visibility, distribution, and manufacturing opportunities.
Each year, AFWN brings together a vibrant community of fresh and established designers, industry stakeholders, and fashion enthusiasts. Our annual event features an exciting lineup of runway shows, marketplace exhibitions, and insightful Business of Fashion talks, offering emerging designers a unique opportunity to gain exposure, learn, and connect within the industry.
At AFWN, we are passionate about building a sustainable future for African fashion and supporting the creative voices that define it.
